Just a quick catch up

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted anything lately, truth is, I had nothing to write.

However, I have recently painted a sunset landscape which I would like to share with you. I love painting sunsets as much as I love watching them. The rich colours are often so breath taking that I feel I could never capture them, yet there are always the appropriate colours within my vast collection of pastels which do the job nicely and I end up with a very pleasing painting.

I chose a well known English landmark for my landscape, as I thought the vivid sky gave a superb backdrop to the ageing stones. What do you think?

I have also just started a commissioned cat portrait, which I am videoing, as I was requested by a young artist friend of mine to demonstrate how I render fine hair/fur. Seeing as this cat has a lot of it, I thought it would be the ideal one to use. So I will upload the videos as I complete each part of the cat.

However, in the meantime, here is the sunset landscape, which I hope you like.

P.S. if you have any requests for videos please leave me a comment and I will do my best to create one, likewise if you have any questions too.

I have added a new painting to my shop. It's a Robin painted in watercolour on a beautiful background. Please take a look. It would make a lovely Christmas gift.
